11:24 pm - Not been 2 years yet
So, should I really post? Well, I don't know.

I never know what to post in these things anyway.

I've been using facebook more and occassionally have something to post there, but I've also got the ability to put pictures up there.

Since my grandpa passed away I've taken up a bit of R/C airplane flying (past couple of months). Trying my hand at crafting one out as well -- semi-based on more recent versions of a plane I remember him having when I was young called a Round-Tuit. My airplane is quite a bit smaller though and electric powered (where he had a gas powered version back in the day).

1:34 pm - Long time, no post
I guess I'm not much of a livejournal type person. Please don't take offense, I'm not much of a myspace person either. In fact, I suppose my online social life is in the crapper. ;)

About the only thing I actively post anything to is DeviantArt; and that's not terribly personal either, just photos I've taken. :)

Like this latest one of my niece. She's learned to sit up on her own now.

Didn't want you all to think I was dead or anything, see you in another year or so. ;)

5:47 pm - Slacking / Lurking
So, I've been slacking a lot on posting new information on here. I'm not much of one to share a lot of information when it comes to relationships in my life and even other miscellaneous information (just for the lack of feeling that somethings are very interesting to many others that aren't directly related).

There are a lot of little things that have been going on lately.

Through the last half of the year last year I was in a serious, albeit short, relationship with a woman in Tucson. That ended sometime in mid-January for various reasons that I don't really want to complain about here. It is still painful to really think about with much focus so I tend not to if I can help it.

Of course, this gives the added benefit of more leisure time and as might have been expected, I've played more Final Fantasy XI as a result. I'm still probably somewhat addicted to the game (though less and less; I was out of town all weekend in Tucson just this past weekend). In January I managed to get my black mage on Final Fantasy XI to level 75 (which is the level cap) and have slowly been upgrading equipment, getting special things called "merit" points to increase some attributes and skills of a level capped player even more, and helping out other friends in the game most of which I've played in the game with for quite some time.

I do generally check on all of your recent posts as I am at work if I am not too busy (read: if I'm bored at work), which ends up being once a week or so. For various reasons, I've been pulled into the myspace arena as well and keep a check on some friends over there (most of which are friends from high school [since they have that easy little search by school feature]). If anyone wants that contact information because you have a myspace page let me know.

I don't really like it for "blogging" over there as much as I like the system here and generally get pulled into the spammy bulletin system as well just so that those people that I did know in High School can keep up with random tidbits of information about me.

I guess that's it for now. I'm ready to escape the workplace for the day.

1:15 pm - Interesting

You are The Hierophant

Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.

All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.

The Hierophant's purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant's only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.

It's been so long, yet it seems sometimes like it's not that far back.

I often feel as though I write in this daily; yet nothing appears later when I attempt to lookup what I felt and thought -- when are they going to get that mind-meld interface?

So, the new nine inch nails is out. I've got my favorites and then there is the obligatory radio song that'll inevitably be overplayed.... Such is the way of a popular magician, er, musician.... Too much gaming and not enough time grounded in actual life. :)

Course when real life tries to grind itself in (such as yesterday when I arrived home from work at 9pm), the game decides to pile drive itself into the head (I was up until nearly 3:30am; having started an attack upon Fenrir at midnight). I guess one just doesn't like to be shown up by the other.

Maybe I'll get to posting real feelings here sometime, but I think for now they should simmer some more. Perhaps after I watch one of my weekly shows next week I'll be moved enough to spill my guts. Art that imitates life is scary, but at the same time, I guess I can find some comfort in the fact that I'm obviously not alone (I certainly don't have any direct input into show storylines that I know of).

Find your angst's flavor

Blech, I hate black licorice...

Their description of Black Licorice (since it isn't in the above pasted portion):
Unique and difficult to place, your angst finds its source in something you keep hidden. You have something serious and possibly traumatic, but you try to hide it from everyone and just tell them to ignore you when you seem troubled, that everything's really OK. You might think that you have good reasons for not telling people, and some of them may in fact be true, but most likely a lifetime of keeping your secrets has led to a resolution fortified by rationalization that nobody else can shake simply because you never give them a chance. Ask yourself if it would really be that horrible to open up to others; nobody says you have to do it all at once, even. But you should at least try getting out of your shell a little. It's not healthy to internalize everything and conceal it. Anyway, if people really care for you, and they probably do, then they'll be loving and supportive regardless of any reason to the contrary.

9:42 am - They're coming to take me away!!!!! Haha...
Holy shit. If you haven't already listened to your Real Synthetic Audio for this week (or don't generally listen to the show), _you have to_ this week. There is a great cover of "They're coming to take me away" that I about died from trying to hold in my laughter at it being covered by an industrial/techno band. It's great. The URL is http://www.synthetic.org/. You can listen to it in Real Media or Windows Media; pick your poison.

Edit: OMFG! There's also a cover of Britney Spears at the end......Hahahaha......oh dear, I'm too amused...

11:36 pm - Hrm.
So, it would seem that my Uncle has got a website back up for his band, mr. zero knew. It's not my usual flavor of music, but it's not too bad. :) It's a little on the pop side for me. ;)

Of course, it must compete with the free mp3 list off of A Different Drum. There's a lot there too, both good and bad (look for the little free mp3 link on the side).

I wish the record store near here would start carrying music from that label so I could get some instant gratification when I decide I want to get a particular CD, or more of something from one of their bands. :)

11:53 am - Oops
My CD list on my web page was far from complete. It's been updated though; hopefully to the point of being nearly and/or painfully complete. In fact, it may need a bit of redesign as it's become quite large, requiring me to scroll a few pages to see it all.

I've also got a list of tracks that I've got from said CDs available although I don't yet have it linked in anywhere as I haven't decided if its truly that useful for anyone else.

12:12 am - Lurking
I'm being a bit of a lurker, though admittedly, not a very good lurker. I've been too busy at work lately to be a good lurker. So, if you really need to get ahold of me, feel free to email me. I've gotten a new email through GMail! Hrm, if anyone wants an invite, I've currently got 4 (don't know if they'll get pulled from me if I don't use them within some amount of time or not).

7:28 pm - Women's Bras and their count....
A friend of mine recently told me that while shopping in Victoria's Secret, the sales person offered up that women often only had 2 bras. So, I was curious how many you all have (the friend proclaims having many, many bras...I'm sure more than 5). So, answer away. (For speculation purposes, I could see the 2 bras being 1) functional -- sports bra type, 2) dressy, although this does seem like it would be too few, especially with the way most women are about shoes.)

9:25 pm - Song......Stuck.....in......head......Need Relief......
Can anyone tell me why I've got this White Stripes song stuck in my head?

I think I have to blame the bass-line as that's what I keep humming/whistling/mouthing. Ah well, I've been infected, who has the cure?

For those that are curious and can't guess which song, it's "Seven Nation Army". Maybe it's because he is going to move to Wichita -- though I suspect he'd really be working on slaughtering cows instead of working with straw. But he didn't want you to get confused in the following lyrics about bleeding. :)

Yeah, so I just bought the CD so I can play the hell out of it to clear it out of my mind. Hope that works. :)

I don't like managers so much, but it would appear I am destined for Project Management according to this Musical Preference Survey. I guess I can take comfort in knowing that I'm not destined to become a Microsoft Certified Professional though -- Yay!
